Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and the Sri Lankan. Their father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. She has two brothers and an older sister. In the wake of turmoil in the country, her parents moved to Bahrain during the 1980s. In Australia she pursued a degree in Media and Communications at University of Sydney after graduating from Bahrain. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player with international recognition. Her mother is a travel agent.
